If you can train it, you're on track for an adventure!
Flying in from the US, we planned to be in London for a week. With so much to do and see, we opted for the Eurostar to Paris and to Lyon. We stayed near Tower of London so leaving from King's Cross St. Pancras Station is conveniently closer than Heathrow or Gatwick.

Such a smooth way to travel to Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, or even Lyon without all the hassles of getting to and from London-area airports. Indeed, you'll probably save lots of time and money by taking the Eurostar as opposed to taking a plane out of Heathrow or Gatwick.

Boarding wasn't ideal ... and claustrophobics will hate going through the Chunnel.
I've gone from London to Paris by ferry, by hovercraft...Read More
